Q 1: Why should I hire a marketing consultant?

A: No doubt about it, farming today has gotten very complicated. It is difficult to know everything you need to know about every aspect of your business. Chances are you have had experience working with professional consultants, whether it is a CPA, an entomologist or crop consultant. You know first hand the benefits a good consultant can bring to your operation:

Q 2: How do I know if Scott Agri is right for me?

A: The first step is to determine whether or not you agree with our basic philosophy…

If you agree with that approach, the next step would be to contact us and let us ask a few questions in order to assess your current marketing situation. Through that process you will learn how we work and we will both get a sense of whether or not we would be a good fit for your organization.

Q 3: What are your fees?

A: For our marketing consulting services, you would pay $2.50 per planted acre.

Q 4: If I sign up, what exactly am I committing to do?

A: You are signing up to receive professional advice and counsel throughout the marketing season. You are not committed to take any marketing position whatsoever.

Q 5: Will I lose control of my marketing?

A: No. While we will give specific recommendations and will be in position to carry out your instructions when appropriate, you will always make the final decisions.

Q 6: How often will I be contacted?

A: As often as necessary. We understand that communication will be an important component of our working relationship. We plan on working with you for many seasons to come.

Q 7: How long has Scott Agri been in business?

A: Our president, Steven H. Scott, opened his agricultural marketing consulting business in 1985. Prior to that time he was a commodity broker with Merrill Lynch.

Q 8: Where do most of your clients farm?

A: Most of our clients are found in the delta area of the Mid South: Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Missouri.

Q 9: Can I speak with some of your clients?

A: That is always a good idea. We would be glad to provide a list of contacts.
